Greg manages the firm’s private company investment activity in companies developing climate solutions, working closely with portfolio managers, global industry analysts, and other global research resources within the firm to identify and pursue investments. As the climate innovation effort continues to grow, he will help build the team, develop investment talent, and further integrate Wellington’s research capabilities into this emerging business.
Prior to joining Wellington Management, Greg was the head of venture at Galaxy Digital where he led the venture capital business, focusing on blockchain-related investments in the fintech and enterprise digitization areas. He was previously a partner at Generation Investment Management (2010 – 2018) on the Climate Solutions Fund where he led venture and growth investments in companies developing tech-enabled climate solutions.
Greg previously worked as the head of Global Solar Initiative at the Clinton Foundation (2008 – 2009), and as a vice president in the Special Situations Group at Goldman Sachs in alternative energy investing (2006 – 2008) and asset investing (2000 – 2006).
Greg holds a bachelor of business administration from George Washington University (2000). Additionally, he holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. He also serves on the board of the non-profit, Hudson River Park Friends.
