BerylElites Conferences ("BERYL") are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.  This Policy sets out the basis on which any personal data or other information BERYL collects from you, or that you provide to BERYL, will be processed by BERYL.

Notice (2) to Persons located in the European Economic Area: Personal Data Transfers

The personal data BERYL collects from you will be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area ("EEA"). It will also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for BERYL.  This includes staff engaged in administering your registration for, sponsorship of, or attendance at, our Conference and other events or services, dealing with your enquiries when you contact BERYL, and supplying our services to you. By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing and processing.

Notice (3) to Persons located in the European Economic Area: Rights and Data Retention

You have certain rights in relation to your personal data, including access, rectification, erasure and restriction. Any right of access you choose to exercise will be subject to a fee to meet our costs in providing you with the information you request. You also have the right to object to processing of your personal data and to complain to the appropriate supervisory body about the processing of your data. BERYL will retain your personal data for no longer than is reasonably necessary to provide our services to you.

Information you give BERYL

This is information about you that you give BERYL by filling in forms on our site accessible at www.berylelites.com (the "Website") or by corresponding with BERYL by phone, e-mail or otherwise.  It includes information you provide when you: (1) register on our Website as looking for opportunities, sponsorships, media, association partnerships and suite packages; (2) contact BERYL; (3) register to receive emails from BERYL; or (4) subscribe to our services (including registering for the Conference).

Information BERYL collects about you

With regard to each of your visits to our Website, BERYL will automatically collect technical information, including: the IP address used to connect your computer to the Internet; hostname; network name; and location information (city, latitude/longitude and postal code).

Information BERYL receive from other sources

This is information BERYL receives about you from sources such as industry contacts and databases. BERYL will only further use this information if you consent to such use.

BERYL use information you give to BERYL in the following ways:

 

  • to keep you informed of relevant BERYL events or related products and services (but not any securities products or offerings);

  • to carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and BERYL and to provide you with the information, products and services that you request from BERYL;

  • to notify you about changes to our service, this Policy or our other terms of business; and

  • to ensure that content from our Website is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer or device.

BERYL will use this information:

You agree that BERYL has the right to share your personal data with:

  • any member of BERYL corporate group; and

  • selected third parties, including: (1) companies that provide services necessary to effect a transaction that you request or to service your account; and (2) government agencies, courts, parties to lawsuits, regulators in response to subpoenas or other competent bodies having jurisdiction over BERYL. In such cases, BERYL will share only the information that it is required or authorized to share.


Information you provide to third parties (including any Conference attendees) in connection with your registration for, or participation in, any Conference or BERYL event shall be subject to any applicable agreement or privacy policy that governs your relationship with such party.

BERYL may also disclose your personal information to third parties:

  • in the event that BERYL sells or buys any business or assets, in which case BERYL may disclose your personal data to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets; or

  • if BerylElites Conferences and/or BERYL or substantially all of its assets are acquired by a third party, in which case personal data held by it about its customers, users or registrants may be one of the transferred assets and BERYL may disclose such data to the prospective acquirer.

Furthermore, you agree that your name and/or participant firm registered for, sponsoring, attending, or otherwise associated with a Conference or other BERYL event may also be disseminated and posted on the Site.

Keeping your Personal Data secure

BERYL takes appropriate technical and organizational security measures to prevent unauthorized or unlawful processing, accidental loss of or destruction or damage to your personal data. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the Internet is not completely secure.  Although BERYL does its best to protect your personal data, BERYL cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our Site; any transmission is at your own risk.  Once BERYL has received your information, BERYL will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorized access.
