Kelly Ye, CFA is the Head of Research at CoinDesk Indices, a market leader in digital asset indexing. She leads the research team in designing indices and providing thought leadership to expand CoinDesk’s offering of industry benchmarks and index-linked products. She and her team are also responsible for the development of the CoinDesk Digital Asset Classification Standard (DACS), the first industry standard for classifying digital assets. Kelly’s team works with various internal and external partners to create index strategies and educational content that support clients and investors.

Kelly brings over 15 years of experience in leading investment research teams in both sell side and buy side firms. Before joining the CoinDesk family, Kelly was the Director of Research at IndexIQ, the ETF platform for New York Life Investments. She has developed innovative investment strategies across asset classes including equities, fixed income and alternatives. Before joining IndexIQ, Kelly was the head of quantitative research of New York Life Investments’ Multi Asset Solutions team, senior Fixed Income strategist at Goldman Sachs, and credit derivative structurer at BNP Paribas.

Kelly holds a master’s degree in Operations Research and Financial Engineering from M.I.T and a B.S. in Applied Math from Peking University. She serves on the board of CFA Society New York and on the committee of Women in ETF Speakers’ Bureau. Kelly is the inaugural winner of the Women in Asset Management Award – Index category in 2019. She is also recognized by the Money Management Executive as the top asset management executive to watch in 2020.
