Rob Curry is a Director & Strategy Head of Credit, Event Driven and Global Macro strategies in the Hedge Fund Origination & Product Management Group at Bank of America, supporting the $90 billion Alternative Investments Platform of the Bank’s Investment Solutions Group.
Entering the world of alternative investments in 2007, Rob worked at Cadogan Management (a $7BN fund of hedge funds), Merrill Lynch Wealth Management and Man Group’s FRM business (a $14BN managed account platform), holding various roles in research and risk management, culminating in his role as Head of Operational Due Diligence, Americas at FRM. During a six year stint as an entrepreneur before returning to his current role at Bank of America, Rob worked as a Managing Director of Steep Rock Advisors, LLP, providing strategic, operational and regulatory advice to public, early-stage and start-up energy companies in both the electricity generation and transmission spaces.
He is a graduate with honors of Georgetown University’s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service and a recipient of a J.D. with a certificate in Securities Law from Catholic University’s Columbus School of Law. During his time in the evening program at Catholic law school, Rob worked at the Securities & Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C., during the day and subsequently served as a bankruptcy and M&A associate at a law firm and as a Manager in the M&A Transaction Services Group at Deloitte & Touche LLP.
